Movies about Vegas - Casino

I am quite sure 99% of people reading this blog watched Casino, with De Niro, Stone and Pesci. The first time I taped it from TV on my vcr, the tape "misteriously" stopped after ten minutes. The second time I found it on TV, the tape wasn't long enough and I missed 1/3 of the movie. So I decided it was time to play seriously... I watched the tape when I was hosted in San Diego and I saw the movie from minute 1 to the end.

It was worth the waiting, that's really a great movie and I watched it a couple of time more. But there still was something missing, what was fiction and what was biographical?

Frank Rosenthal is the man played by De Niro. I found out that in the 1970's, Frank Rosenthal hosted a top-rated television variety show direct from the world famous Stardust Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. He really had a great time on the Strip!

This is the real Mrs. Rosenthal. Who can blame him for loosing his mind for her?

On http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112641/ people are still talking about the movie. Recent posts, for example, will allow you to discover in which Vegas restaurant Frank lefty Rosenthal was eating before his car exploded.

You can find his official site on>http://www.frankrosenthal.com/. Have fun and... watch you back :-)
